SKILLS: To analyze the impact that John Brown's Trial had on the North and the South before the Civil War

ASSESSMENT: Interviews, research, note taking (students assume roles for Trial of John Brown - attorneys interview witnesses and make trial notes after analyzing facts and testimony of witnesses) Teacher observation/checklist will be used to determine mastery of objectives

HOMEWORK: All students except attorneys will read pages 178 - 181 in textbook. Complete Locating Main Idea on p. 180. Manifest Destiny Packet should have been finished in class today and turned in!

TRIAL WILL BE HELD TOMORROW IN CLASS - bring props, dress appropriately for your role. Know what you are going to say in the courtroom when called to testify.
