8th Grade Fitness- Week 5

This week consisted of circuit training and moving up in difficulty to the advanced version of Tae-Bo. Students re-checked weight and body fat percentage on Wednesday to see the improvements they have made in the first half of the 9 weeks. On Thursday we did not get into the fitness lab due to Scoliosis screening. Next week is the holiday....so no blog.

7th Grade PE- Week 5

This week we continued our second week of our Softball unit. We played outside a few days, weather permitting, and got an idea of everyone's level of play (inside information for picking tournament teams!) Towards the end of the week we picked those teams but haven't been able to play full tournament game yet. Due to weather we stayed in on Thurs. and Fri. and played lead up games involving batting and fielding. Next week is the holiday....so no blog.

6th Grade Health- Project/Week 4

We are completing our Tobacco, Alcohol, & Drugs chapter this week with the "Over-the-Counter Medication Project" Students will create an original medication that they will share with the class. They have each been given a grade sheet to show them exactly what they need to score their desired grade. They may be as creative, silly, or serious as they like as long as they follow the grade sheet. We will be beginning Nutrition and Fitness tomorrow.
