Students have done circuit training and Tae-Bo this week. Their muscle quiz was today as well as progress reports being sent home.
**Next week have your child bring a towel to class on Tue and Thur for Yoga and Pilates instruction.

Students are into week 2 of their Lacrosse Unit. We have been working on ground balls and catching/throwing. Catching and throwing are essential for the game of Lacrosse. We will begin game play next week. Progress reports went home today.
**Students may bring their own sticks starting Monday. However, we are NOT responsible for items left in the PE office.

Students have begun the Body Systems Unit. Over the next week we will be looking at many of the Body System that keep the body working efficiently. Progress reports went home today.
**Please express to your child the importance of EVERY assignment. At the end of the grading period each assignment will be worth 5% of your students final grade.

We have had an altered Connections schedule this week due to CRCT. Students have done circuit training. They have also received assignments helping them begin to memorize the muscle groups and how to use the machines properly. Both of these assignments were graded. In the very near future we will have a guest Pilates and Yoga instructor come and teach. Progress reports go home next Friday.

Students have had an altered schedule this week for Connections due to the CRCT. Students began their Lacrosse unit on Monday. We will having our Basketball unit test next week. Congratulations to the Championship winning teams:

We have had an altered schedule this week due to the CRCT. Students have finished up the Nutrition & Fitness unit and will be testing early next week. Preliminary quizzes were done on Wednesday and Thursday to show the students what areas (if any) they were weak on. See elsewhere on this blog for the Chapter 4 study guide. Progress reports go home next Friday.

Students participated in circuit training this week. They also had an in depth classroom day in which they took notes about the muscle groups that they will learn this 9 weeks. These are the same muscle groups that they are exercising during circuit training. Log onto the previous blog and print the study guide for these groups. There will be a test and a quiz on these in the upcoming weeks.

Students completed 4 days of circuit training and 1 day of Anatomy and Physiology in the class room. Students took notes on 9 major muscle groups, where they are located, their anatomical names, and how to work them. Click below for a copy of these notes. The written test will be the week of 9/11.

Students finished up their regular season play on Tuesday and began the Championship round on Wednesday. One game will be played each day to figure out 1st - 6th place respectively. Below are the regular season leaders....

Students have begun a very detailed unit about Nutrition and Fitness. We did however take 2 days off from this to have a Human Growth speaker for the girls and the boys stayed with me.
Students will have a homework assignment this weekend that consists of writing down everything that they eat and drink. Please assist them in remembering to record their meals and return the sheets on Monday. This is a graded assignment! Don't forget CRCT next week!
