Students had an opportunity to finish their test today. Then, students completed a Test Analysis. We also worked on WS 1-1, Finding Addition and Subtraction Mistakes.
Homework tonight is to get the Test Analysis signed by a parent and complete WS 1-1.

Today we learned how to substitute values into expressions to add multiple term expressions using variables.

Today student's completed a Test Analysis on their Chapter 1 Test. They are to get it signed by a parent and return to class tomorrow. This will count as part of homework. Chapter 1 Test grades are on I-Parent.
Students are also to complete the 2-Column Notes handout on Sections 2-1 and 2-2. In your TB, complete pg. 58, problems 14-34 even, pg. 60, problems 10-24 even.

Today we reviewed for the Chapter 1 Test which is tomorrow.
Class work/ Homework is pages 58-60 in your textbook, problems 8-49, all and problems 63-68. Make sure you write the problem and then solve showing all steps. The only problems you won't show work for are those involving solving equations using the inverse operation. You may solve these mentally.

Students got their Chapter 1 Quiz returned today. Please ask your child how they did! The grades will be posted on I-Parent by the end of the week.
Today we covered section 1-7. Homework is in the textbook, pg. 35, problems 13-39 ODD. You must write the problem and show ALL steps and check to earn full credit on homework.

Today we reviewed Section 1-5, The Distributive Property. Homework tonight is the Chapter 1 Quiz Review. The Quiz is tomorrow and will cover Sections 1-2 through 1-5. There is a help session with Mrs. Heiber in the morning at 8:15am. She will pick you up from the Study Hall at 8:15am!

THE QUIZ FOR TOMORROW HAS BEEN POSTPONED. Homework tonight is pg. 28 and 29, problems 15 - 28 all. Write the problem and make sure you follow directions for each section.
We will continue with the second part of the Section 1-5 tomorrow as well has have DEAR (DROP EVERYTHING AND READ) for one half of the class period.

The personal characters are due on Monday, and please have the textbooks covered by Monday. The cloth covers are the best!

Today students started on their BAG Pre-Test. This is not for a grade in the gradebook, but serves as an instrument to determine growth by the end of the year. Those who did not finish today will have the opportunity to finish in class tomorrow.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Homework is an opportunity for each student to practice the concept and to determine if they need extra practice or help before taking a test. Homework will be given on a daily basis. If ABSENT, access my BLOG through the Mabry website for the assignments missed. Students are to schedule make-up tests and quizzes with Mrs. Treadwell upon their return to school. It is strongly suggested that any make-up quizzes/tests be taken in the morning to eliminate additional out of class time.
