I will not be in class on Thursday or Friday.
Homework for each class will be to complete the assigned classwork if it was not finished in class. This will be checked on Monday, Oct. 3rd, and will count as a Class Work grade.

Today we reviewed multiplication facts while playing Bingo. Then students had to use deductive reasoning to find mystery numbers from clues. This numbers included decimals as well as whole numbers.
There is no formal homework this evening.

Today we reviewed skills by playing mulitplication bingo and a game called Snake. In Snake, the students "snake" around the rooom solving problems written on a card that has been placed at each desk.
This game helped to practice integer rules using and all operations.

Students learned a new format to use when solving word problems. We completed one problem in class today. Student's copied a word problem from the overhead and will solve it using the format learned in class.
Tomorrow is DEAR and AM. Please bring reading material for 1/2 of the class period.

We learned a format to use when solving word problems. Students are to use this format and complete problem number 53 on page 81.
Students got back their Chapter 2 Test. They completed a Test Error Analysis in class. Show your parents and get your parents signature.

We reviewed how to mulitply and divide decimals today. Homework is the worksheets handed out in class today, 2-28 and 2-29.

Students learned how to divide integers. They discovered that the same rules for multiplying integers apply to dividing integers.

Today the students reviewed for their Chapter 2 test. The test will be tomorrow.
Homework is the Practice Chapter 2 Test on page 648 in the textbook.
Two bonus points will be given if a student brings in a graded practice test from the Glencoe website signed by a parent.

Students learned how to multiply integers today. Ask them about "matching socks" and "miss-matched socks"! They had time to start on homework in class. The assignment is WB 2-7 ALL.
The Chapter 2 Test is scheduled for next Tuesday.

We took an extra day to practice both adding and subtracting integers. This is a very important skill to master!
Homework is the worksheet handed out in class today, WS 5-6. Complete the first 10 problems showing your work in your notebook sheet of paper. Write the problem, circle your terms in a different color, and show your "arithmetic" on the side of your paper.

Today we reviewed multiplying and dividing integers. Students completed a Magic Square using these two operations in class.
Homework is WS 5-10, Writing and Simplifying Expressions, which will use all four operations with integers.

Today students learned how to organize data in a matrix and to add/subtract the elements in matrices.

We took an extra day in practicing adding integers. We extended the lesson by simplifying expressions which included negative numbers.
Homework tonight is the Worksheet handed out in class today. We WILL HAVE THE QUIZ TOMORROW! It will cover Sections 2-1 through
2-4. I felt it was in the best interest of the students to quiz before the weekend.
We will have DEAR and AM after the quiz.

Students learned how to add integers today.
Homework is WB 2-4 1 through 20 all. Make sure you write your problem on a separate sheet of paper, circle your terms, and show each step of multiple term problems.
I have postponed the Quiz until next Tuesday.
