We took another day to practice constructing circle graphs.
Homework is TB page 615, problems 1-4.

NOTE: These 4 problems give the category and the percentage (which means most of the work is done for you!) You are going to have to work backwards on these. You can change the percentage to a decimal. Multiply the decimal by 360 to get your degrees and then make your circle graph.

Today the students learned how to make circle graphs. They also realized how valuable a calculator will be this chapter! Make sure you have one in class tomorrow!

Today we learned what types of numbers are classified as rational and irrational. We learned how to compare them and re-name them.

Homework is WB-P 5-1, all. Also, Progress Reports went home today. Please get those signed and return them tomorrow!

Today we started Chapter 4 and learned about Frequency Tables, Bar Graphs, and Histograms: their similarities and differences.

Homework for tonight is WB-P 4-1, all.

PLEASE BRING A CALCULATOR TO CLASS for the rest of this chapter.

Today students received their Chapter 4 Test and completed the Test Error Analysis. Get that signed tonight and bring back tomorrow.

Also, complete problem 13 on page 183 using the P.O.W. format. We will check this in class tomorrow.

Today we learned the rule for multiplying exponents that have a common base. Then we started reviewing for our Chapter 4 Test which is TOMORROW!

After reviewing homework in class, I made the decision to spend another day on Section 3-5, Finding Percents. Classwork was on pg. 613, lesson 3-5 all. Homework is TB pg. 122, 10 - 27 all.

Today we reviewed Sections 3-1 through 3-4 and then took a quiz covering those sections.

Homework for tonight is Pg. 117, #46. Use the POW format to complete this word problem. HINT: It took me one complete page to write out all five parts. If you only have four or five lines, your work is incomplete.

Today we learned how to factor composite numbers using prime numbers. Homework is WB-P 4-4, FIRST COLUMN ONLY. Use the factor tree method of factoring and please show your work on notebook paper.
