We started Chapter 8 today. Lesson 8-1 is using the proportion formula to solve word problems.
Homework is WB-P 8-1 all. For those students who did not do SG 8-1 during class, you need to complete that as well.

Students had another chance to make test corrections and then complete a test analysis on Chapter 6 Test.
Homework is to get the Test Analysis signed and WRITE A PARAGRAPH on the POW from page 288, #43.

We played the review game SNAKE to help prepare for our test tomorrow!
HW is TB pg. 322-323, 11-37 odds. The test will cover sections 6-1 through 6-5.

Students took their Chapter 9 Test today. Due to early release, some students did not finish. Therefore, students will be allowed to finish their test tomorrow.

Today we learned how to determine the distance between 2 coordinate points on the coordinate plane and about the special properties of right triangles that measure 30-60-90 degrees and 45-45-90 degrees.
HW is WB-P 9-6 all, and 9-7 , problems 2,3,4,7,9.
We will review Chapter 9 tomorrow and test on Wednesday.

Today we learned about the Pythagorean Theorem and how it is used with right triangles.
HW is WB-P 9-4, all. We will have quiz tomorrow covering sections 9-1 through 9-4. Bring your Square Root chart to use for the quiz.

Today we took a second day on multiplying fractions. The quiz for tomorrow has been postponed until Thursday.
Homework is TEXTBOOK pg. 287, 19 - 39 odd. Show your work on your own notebook paper.
You must remember signed number rules as well as rules for adding and subtracting fractions!

Today we reviewed the Real Number System. This is mainly understanding and memorizing the vocabulary and definitions. You need to know, and give examples of the following:
real numbers
rational numbers
irrational numbers
natural numbers
whole numbers
integers
Students also learned how to graph the estimates of square roots on the number line.
HW is WB-P 9-3 all. Tomorrow is DEAR and AM. Bring reading material to last atleast 1/2 of the class period.

Today we learned how to write fractions as decimals, and compare two fractions, and a decimal and a fraction.
Homework is WB-P 6-1 odds, and to memorize the following 5 fractions and decimal equivalents:
1/4 = 0.25
1/3 = 0.333.... (or repitend bar over one three)
1/2 = 0.50
2/3 = 0.666.... (or a repitend bar over on six)
2/4 = 0.75
