11-27-06 Test Analysis and 3-2

3rd period:
The students received their Unit 3, Test 1 back and completed their Test Analysis. Be sure to get that signed tonight and return it to class tomorrow. We then reviewed solving one-step equations using addition and subtraction, and then included integers (positive and negative numbers).

11-21-06 Unit Test and Problem Solving

3RD PERIOD:
Students took their Unit 3, Test 1. The tests have been graded and are recorded on I-Cue.

4TH, 5TH, AND 6TH PERIODS:
Today we solved a Thanksgiving logic problem using the strategy of making a chart, and then students used their skills of graphing and made a holiday turkey.

3RD PERIOD:
Today we had an in-class review for Unit 3, Test 1 and then we did AM. There is no formal homework; however, you should be re-working problems over the weekend from lessons 2-7 and 2-8.

The Test will be on Tuesday

You took the test on Chapter 2. Tests are graded and posted on I-cue. There is no formal homework.

11-10-06 AM and DEAR

Good news! The copiers are working so we could use AM today. We also read for DEAR.

Make sure you complete Thursdays assignment as it will be checked on Monday.

THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON MONDAY, 11/13. It will cover lessons 2-1, 2-3, and 2-4. Study those sections over the weekend. Studying for math means to re-work problems from those sections.

11-02-06 3.4

Today we concluded our week with finding out if the Tour Company would make a profit and how much profit they would make. We also discussed whether the Tour Group was a good business opportunity given the amount of profit earned (or lost) as the case may have been.

HW: Performance Assessment that will count as a quiz grade. It is due tomorrow at the beginning of class. Fifteen points will be deducted from the earned grade for each day the assignment is late.

Tomorrow is AM and DEAR. Bring reading material to last for one half of the class period.

10-31-06 Investigations 3.3 and 3.4 of CM

We continued to learn how to use the skills taught in Unit 1 and Unit 2 are applied to real life situations. Today, we applied creating and analyzing charts and graphs to understanding expenses and profits.

HW: Application questions 3 and 4. The worksheet was given out yesterday in class.
