Today you finished your unassisted writing for your portfolio. If this is not finished, it must be completed tomorrow.

For those of you who have writings you wish to enter in the writing fair, you must have your piece to me tomorrow before you go to homeroom.

Remember, you must have the form with your parent's signature clipped to your writing.

The homework assignment for today (Thursday) is to read for 20 minutes and write a 5~W summary sentence on your log. You must have a parent signature.

Continue to edit and revise your Disaster Paper.

Tomorrow we will begin reading nonfiction articles, taking notes, paraphrasing, and "Reading Like a Writer."

Make sure you have your Disaster paper when you come to class; you will be looking at transition words and finding the perfect ones for your paper.
