Classes @ Jekyll
While on the island, students rotate through classes in the following topics while exploring each of the physical areas on the island:
- The Beach
- The Slough
- The North End (Erosion)
- Endangered Species
- Herpetology
- The Dock (with Plankton)
- The Marsh
- Sea Turtles
- The Forest
You will see a variety of pictures taken of our students in each of these areas. The students take their journal notebooks with them as they explore. At the end of the second day each student spends an hour of dedicated time working in his or her journal. We also hope to create some podcasts of our adventures.
On a lighter note, students are assigned KP duty. Not to worry, several of our parents have asked we take pictures of your student doing cleanup duty as proof it really can happen!
