Mrs. Treadwell
Mrs. Nancy Treadwell is one of our 7th grade math teachers. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in Speech with an emphasis in Public Relations. She earned her BS in Education from Kennesaw State University. She is now beginning her 14th year of teaching, and this year is her third year at Mabry. She has been one of the pioneers at Mabry with the Accelerated Math program, an excellent tool all of our math teachers use to assess current student math skills. The program also promotes continuous review of essential math skills.
When asked what her professional passion is, Mrs. Treadwell said, "To facilitate each student's achieving his or her personal best. I believe each child can be successful in the area of mathematics, and I strive to help each child find the way that he or she "learns best."
Mrs. Treadwell has an unusual hobby, horseback riding and equestrian activities. She has had her own horse, Gold 'n Glory, for 8 years. They trail ride and participate in local horse shows. She is an active member of Georgia Equine Rescue League, a volunteer organization that helps starved and abused horses throughout the state of Georgia.
