Ms. Mitchell
Ms. Amanda Mitchell has been teaching 6th grade Math for 6 years, all of them at Mabry. She loves to see students’ faces light up when they finally get it, and she likes to try and find ways to make math easier to understand, and to help relieve math anxieties for sixth graders. No one should be scared of math!
Ms. Mitchell is a southern girl from Albany, Georgia, where she lived her entire life until going to college at Valdosta State University. She moved up to the big city about 7 years ago and recently got her Master’s degree in Adolescent Math Education at Kennesaw State University. Her "most favorite thing to do" is lie on the beach and read a good book!
